Darknight This is a mind blown killer, just think of Rush,The Mars Volta and Mastodon formed into the prog robotic supergroup then you'll be pretty close to this BADASS record, high fives for TERMINUS Favorite track: Papillon.
The Midnight Toker.
The Midnight Toker. thumbnail
The Midnight Toker. I recommend all 3 of Terminus releases if you like your Prog more on the metal side of things than not, vocals may not be everyone's cup of tea, they remind me a bit of Coheed and Cambria in that respect.
MindOverFour
MindOverFour thumbnail
MindOverFour One of the best progressive albums of 2016. Thanks to the amazing singer and innovative song writing, it sounds like The Mars Volta or Coheed and Cambria, although heavier than both. Musically, there is a fair bit of Mastodon but more melodic and, thus, reminding me a lot of the last few crunchy albums by Rush. It is a rather remarkable leap from their previous record. Super! Favorite track: Lull.

Jeff It's been years since I've listened to an album this much. I can't really explain why. Favorite track: Burlap Sack.

Dead Head 04:42
Cast out sold his wrench and all his pride for what’s been | Keeping him from harm from all the flies you’re leaving | Just like a | tick to the stomach a tick to the stomach | Keeping him from harm until the lesser man wrote | Shape me! Take me! | You don’t! You won’t! | Shape me! Take me! | You won’t! | You’ll know just when a thousand years | Finishing fifteen calligraphic lines | His eyes sown shut just like a friend of mine | Watching! You can see it in the dark | What we all believe to be just grace off-chart | Let me just say what’s on my mind (it’s too late, it’s too late) | You cannot love it all the time | (my soulmate) | When you give it your whole heart you | if there’s one thing sin can do | Verisimilitude

Burlap Sack 04:20
I’ll help you say I’ll help you say always | In my own fear with my own fear always | I’ll get my spade, I’ll dig your grave|Say!|you ask of me why don’t you speak freely?|ah!|well honestly its been 20 years or so ago since I’ve|I’ll help you say I’m out again always|on my own time and you’ll be fine always|if you don’t care then just leave it in my burrow|Always! Never! 16 robins they won’t hurt you|If you feed it it’s not just enough|do what you want, do what you want|If you don’t care then just leave it in my burrow|Do what you want

The Blue Sir 04:18
They’re probably all wasted | In this bed you call a home | And if you can’t take it | Then you’d better call my own | I can see the scape | seventeen flowers tort your hand | And I am all but one, fourteen bluebirds and I need some | Starting to see what’s becoming of all around and me | and if you came low then you’ll know just it’s all because of me | been here in there and I don’t’ like it | Now this time tonight here please take me instead | starting to see what’s becoming of all around and me | Wait for the day when you know just it’s in the month of May | Standing on god, does she know that? | or are we all strapped back, bled through the wrack | And I don’t wanna be someone else’s servant | Don’t give up on us, when you know the ancient secrets of our time! | I will be| T he best at anybody’s world | If I fail | One knife one dove one holy grail | Always set in center’s flail | you had your time | “Behold here lies the grave of a wicked man” And if you love him crawl into it’s heart Yellow cabinets cause when you find out In which I couldn’t really find a parking spot his lust for body parts sixteen times and sixteen sparrows all left in concordance with my vehicle Always | I’m okay | Sometimes | Not awake | Always | Not a race | Sometimes | Always on my mind | Running around! face for the ground and this face can’t see the light | This face can’t see the

Lull 04:40
One intent! Pay your rent! | and jars of your varnish comfort me! | One intent! See I’m spent! | and all! Are! Tame! Now! | I tried to comfort the tar in my pocket | and prayed to my Cesar but see it did | We are the peacekeepers always bringing you down! | Leave your face left all in ruin! | We trialed once and we sought all the pacing was wrong, leave your face left all in ruin! | So I bring you down | Now you know that I’ve been left out | All of these virtues they’ve no focus | Know you know why I’ve been left out | And all of their friends they have no worries | And all of your shame it has no purpose | All of these days they disregard in something lost that’s too fargone | And all of this game that plays nobody | I’ll hang my head | I’ll hang my head in some else’s crown! | We are the peacekeeprs always brining you down! We are the ones who bring the shelter to those underground
5.
And I’ll wait socialite | And I’ll wager your life | And all this psychology please be wrong | hang me tanned and plain | And it’s alright, a grey son looms all night | And it’s much better drowned in brine | or blinded bare phonetic lime | And all your worries they’re all probably defect | Take that picture down and leave me out | just leave me out cause | All your worries they’re all probable regret | should be much better now that | Only the unfaithful see my all | unobstrusive | Obtuse not useless | Call me fruitless | we forged on clueless | Much better when we fall down the way we left | I feel much better now I’ve forged out my own distaste

Face Trial 05:02
Caught! your time so far | I’ve taught messiah star | That’ll be all together with it | Check out twice papers permitted | Fool me twice we all feel wicked | Riddle me this I am convicted | Caught your time so far | I’ve taught messiah star | Tell me you recall most vivid, who killed who and who committed | And if you dare honor omitted, that’ll be altogether with it | Now you know it’s just the face that | May take all day, take all day | You’re brought to confession | your face under reps | Is there a place where I can hold my secrets? | You say no | Your bodies exception is that the face is the test | Is there a place where I could keep my little priestess? | You say no | The court is in session they call on the mess you’ve laid | ”It’s clear to see” “you’re out of our harmony” | The courts out of session, it’s all under question | We’re under impression | we’re under the pressure | Is there a place where I can hang my head? | On this day | Is there a place where I can hang all pretense? | On this day | on this day
7.
Now I’m blind | Set the table | In heaven’s grave you’re unaccompanied | Now I’ve caught one sentencing vague reminders to sell all saviors | You’re the last one to leave behind | Blind gentials refine | You’re all but set in stone, conception bleeds your wishing bone | Do call me crazy but I don’t believe to wait | Straighten up circumnagivate | I’ve got the making of a sharp kidney stone | That passed out my wishing bone | All of these people they came and all that’s said we gamble the same and I’ve hurt myself | Westward we face backwards east | Call him unkind cause he always believes | So I’ll just wreck myself | I’ll just wreck my soul | You feel that? | It’s the one that left it black and white | They’ll ask me, ask me the same but don’t play his game | They all do the same but one, drag me to hell and I’ll change my number | So I’ll just wreck myself | I’ll just wreck my soul | Cause in the end, it’s all what you wanted to be | Wanted to be | It’s all forgot | It’s all just anomalies of disbelief
8.
Papillon 06:29
Well it must be so defaced, sailing around on the back of our favors | Well it must be so mundane, sifting through symphonic light | You came and you saw and I went | He came and he saw and I went | She came and she saw and I went | You came and you saw and I went | Call me a better man, Templars rewinding when | You gave your answer on this day | I feel the same as I ever was | Declare him unworthy cause he always slips the cause | Do you think I’m invincible? | Do you think I’m the one who cares? | I’ll be out to get it oh you know that | I’ll be out to get it oh you know | Well it must be so defaced, wasting around on the back of our favors | Do you think I’m invincible? | Do you think I’m the one who cares? | And if you have to apply all lies | Your final hazard lies unsynchronized | Hang your head in shame | It all lies beyond these gates
9.
The Curfew 05:30
Somewhere | He died | And left another body burning | Sit down | My new bride | Vibrato hears your low misguided side | Take what you want from me I don’t care you know it’s me you do | The octave of his mother was plucked out by his Mother | you know it’s me you do | Stare into the spore light | You know it’s me you do | Acoustic thaw is drumming and hark! The angels coming, you know it’s me you do | Call out blasphemer | We sell a curfew it’s subjugated by, our virtue of never failing | Take it all you own me know you do you | The octave of your mothers killed your | Synchopated brothers like | You know it’s me you do | Acoustic thaw is drumming and hark! The angels coming | You know it’s me you do | Call out blasphemer | We sell a curfew it’s subjugated by, our virtue of never failing | Sit down and you’ll face yourself | Fool me twice your end I’ve felt | lashings soon offend oneself

Hovi 10:46
Pray unto me and wake up | A captive eternally fed | What ramparts did tell him to leave him be you summon me | Stay blue you’ve saved my soul save again | dissect what’s mine and don’t call me friend | Kill all the self and tight ends don’t end | This fisherman’s ready to re-offend | Let it be cradled | It’s washed all day | A black towel on your bed post | No one saw 'till I said so | What ramparts did tell him to leave him be, you summon me | Now he feels awake | He says now he saw the safest road to take | It’s written out of time | I say it’s all but one, it’s written between the line | He says he needs to stay | He says he needs to take what’s mine today | You said it was all gone | You said I must go on | And so he breathes the breath of death | And takes all of the time in the world | To figure out |To figure out that what he wants most is a comfortable headstone | So I’ve untied all my loss | And I’ve undone all my harmony (Let it be) | And I will wait for another son | Another son to breathe for me | End all (And all) | To figure out | It breathes for me | Let it be cradled | it’s washed all day | So I’ve untied all my loss | And I’ve undone all my harmony (let it be) | And I will wait for another son | Another son to breathe for me | End all (And all) |So I’ll take what’s left | tear it into pieces | My patence of nobility claims I am my cheapest secret | You said it was all gone | You said I’d have to hang my reason why | And after all these days we beat around | So I’ll just have to hand my feelings down | You said it was all gone | You said I’d have to hang my reasons why | And after all these days I finally find, a reason to become another rhyme!
